Delete Your Account

Effective date: August 3, 2026

On Rope users can permanently delete their account and associated app data at any time, right from the app. This page is the public account deletion URL for On Rope and is also linked from inside the app.

How to Delete Your Account

  1. Log in to On Rope with the email address for the account you want deleted.
  2. Open Profile.
  3. Type your account email to confirm and use the Permanently delete account button in the Account deletion section.

If you are not signed in, log in first so we can verify ownership of the account before processing the request.

If you cannot access your account, use the Feedback page and include the email address for the On Rope account you want deleted.

Data Deleted

Deletion happens immediately when you confirm it in the app. Any active subscription is canceled, and we delete or de-identify app-owned account data, including profile details, certification records, logbook entries, uploaded profile photos, notification preferences, app session records, and billing access rows.

Data That May Be Kept

Some records are retained where required for legal, security, billing, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or logbook integrity reasons. In particular, if your account ever approved, rejected, or was requested as the approver on another technician's logbook entry, your name is kept on that entry's signature record (shown as "Deleted User" going forward) so that other technicians' certification records stay intact and auditable — your own personal data, login access, and billing are still fully removed. Other examples of retained records include payment processor records and support correspondence. Retained records are limited to what is needed for those purposes.

Timing

Account deletion is immediate once you confirm it — there is no waiting period or manual review.
